***TDYCC Facility COVID-19 Guidelines - PLEASE READ***


Summer Day Camp Programs line up provides wholesome summer experiences for over 600 children annually. Youth participate in various daily activities that are meant to encourage teamwork, and stimulate social and intellectual growth.

Financial Assistance

Town of Greenburgh residents are not denied participation in any Department of Community Resources program because of an inability to pay. Financial assistance is available with proof and determination of need. Download the Financial Assistance Brochure (PDF).

Program Details

  • Dates: June 26 - August 4, 2023
  • Ages/Grade: 5 to13 years / K through 8th Grade
  • Camp Hours:  9:00 am - 4:00pm
  • Location: Theodore D. Young Community Center
  • Fee: (Credit/Debit Cards accepted are MasterCard/Visa/Discover)
    • Early Registration - February 21 - May 5, 2023
      • Resident - $700/$650 (additional child)
      • Non-Resident - $1,150
    • General Registration - May 8 - June 21, 2022
      • Resident - $850/$750 (additional child)
      • Non-Resident - $1,150

SUMMER CAMP APPLICATION PROCESS

CAMPER APPLICATION 

Welcome to a new summer camp season.  We are excited to get this summer season underway.  This year we have made some adjustments to improve the summer camp registration process.

Please follow in detail the order below

 Please complete the application in its entirety (incomplete applications will not be accepted.)

Please attach a current physical dated no earlier than 1/1/22 

*MUST BE THE TDYCC SUMMER CAMP PROVIDED FORM*

Please attach a copy of your Childs immunization forms

Once the application is complete, you will have two steps to complete your registration for summer camp:

  1. CAMPER APPLICATION- Must be submitted in person.  We will not accept digital submissions, fax submissions, or submissions through third parties.  You may come to the TDYCC and submit your application to the Youth Development Unit.  You may ask for Claudio Valenzuela or Raevyn Thigpen.  Your application should not be dropped off at the front desk or passed on to any other staff member.
  2. PAYMENT PROCESS- Once your application has been reviewed and approved you will be given a form that you will need to produce to the registration team in order to complete your registration process.  Without an approved summer camp application, you will not be able to register for the summer camp.  *Camper spots will not be held for any patron.  if the application process is not complete in its entirety your spot in camp will be opened up to the public.


*Applications that do not follow the above stated format are subject to rejection.

SUMMER CAMPER APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Completed Application (SUMMER CAMP APPLICATION)
  2. Attached copy of Childs physical  Health Form
  3. Attached copy of Childs immunization records

If needed:

Attached copy of Childs approved medicine distribution form 

Medication Authorization Form 

All forms will need to be submitted together.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Completed Application (FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE APPLICATION)
  2. Attached PDF copy of IRS Taxes for 2022 (you will need to have your 2022 taxes completed in order to qualify for financial aid)
  3. Attached PDF copy of IRS W-2 or 1040 (whichever applies) 
  4. Attached PDF copy of 4506-T completed
  5. Attached PDF copy of a valid state or government photo id (Drivers License, Drivers Permit, Non-Driver ID, employer ID, or passport)
  6. Attached PDF copy of a utility bill i.e.: Con-Edison, phone company, cable bill, water bill etc.
  7. Attached PDF copy of the Childs birth certificate
  8. Attached PDF copy of a letter from the Childs school indicating that the child is enrolled in the school and your home address.

Medical Needs

According to the provision of the State Education Law, summer camp personnel are not permitted to dispense any medications (prescribed or over-the-counter) to campers. The “Camp Nurse” may administer either prescribed or over-the-counter medications with the written permission of the Parent(s)/Guardian(s) with written instructions from their Physician.

If your child needs to take medication during Summer Camp hours, complete the Authorization for Administration of Medication form along with the Physician’s stamp and return it directly to the Camp Nurse along with the mentioned medication(s) during the parent orientation.
