Specialized Schools & Other Training

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Unit provides its members with related EMS training programs. By providing these courses our emergency personnel are prepared to deal with the assignments that they receive in a pragmatic and efficient manner.

Local hospitals, New York State Fire Academy, Westchester County Fire Training Center and private training firms are some of the resources utilized for these training programs. Some examples of these courses are:

  • Active Shooter Training
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support
  • Tactical Emergency Casualty Care
