If you believe you have been subjected to improper and or illegal action by a Greenburgh police officer or officers, you should file a complaint with the Police Department's Professional Standards Division. The Professional Standards Division is a special branch of the Police Department that is tasked with the investigation of civilian complaints. The division exists outside of the department's normal chain of command which means its commanding officer reports directly to the Chief of Police. The information requested on the form is necessary in order for the department to investigate your complaint. After printing the form, please complete all pertinent areas and be certain to include a telephone number where you can be reached. Once completed, sign the form and forward it to the Commanding Officer, Professional Standards Division, Greenburgh Police Department, 188 Tarrytown Road, White Plains, New York 10607. You will be contacted by the Professional Standards Captain.
